Development Nous was engaged to prepare planning and design documentation for submission to Council for a 21 lot farm park development in Crownthorpe, Hastings. A farm park scheme plan was prepared for our client providing 21 lots at generally 2500m² to accommodate rural residential dwellings. 

Each site was set strategically amongst the pastoral landscape with specific consideration given to providing access and platforms that minimise earthworks and mitigate effects on the rural landscape.

Our Planning Team prepared an Assessment of Environmental Effects for Resource Consent and submitted a comprehensive planning application to Hastings District Council for the project, including civil engineering and landscape architectural reports and documentation.

Resource consent was granted without hearing by HDC in early 2019. Stage 1 construction of the first 8 lots was completed in mid 2020 and construction of Stage 2 commencing 2021.

Development Nous has also worked closely with the Client to develop Landscape Design Guidelines for future lot owners to employ to reflect the overall environmental vision of the Matuku Farm Park and undertakes ongoing reviews of the submitted landscape schemes.
